Manchester United's baller, Marcus Rashford has been making waves as per his charitable efforts, as he is a joint-favourite to win BBC British Sports Personality of the year award alongside world champion boxer Tyson Fury.
According to Reuters, Manchester United's playmaker, Marcus Rashford is now a top contender to win the BBC British Sports Personality of the year award for 2020 based on his charitable efforts in the society.
It was reported that the Englishman is a joint-favourite for the award alongside WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
However, The Manchester United star's points to win the award have gone up by 6/4 after being 80/1 at one point of time. A few other prominent contenders to win it are Formula One, champion Lewis Hamilton and Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, both with 12/1 points.
Rashford was nominated by the influential role he played in extending charitable efforts towards the less privileged, providing free meal, vouchers campaign, ensuring vulnerable school children don’t go hungry for the next few months.
Aside that, the Englishman has been supported by BBC personalities and England legend Gary Lineker to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
BBC British Sports Personality is mostly given to people that have positive impact on society, and it also counts sporting achievements as well, as Rashford has bagged 19 goals for United this season.
